I, myself, missed the pre-release because of school obligations, but from what I've read Lorwyn seems pretty cool if you like the idea of a lighter, less apocalyptic fantasy setting with various "tribes" of elves, giants, faeries, etc., slugging it out.</p> <p>I totally agree that if you are your friends can impose limits on your local "arms race", then there's still a LOT of fun to be had with casual magic.
